
Em (Emily) Hilton is a Jewish writer, organiser, and strategist based in London. She has co-founded and advised numerous campaigns and organisations that work on the intersection between Israel/Palestine, antisemitism, antiracism and progressive politics including supporting others to build out their organisational vision and strategy. Through both her campaigning and journalism, challenges mainstream narratives and advocates for a Judaism rooted in justice, solidarity, and liberation.
With a proven track record of campaigning, I co-founded and organised with Na’amod: UK Jews Against Israeli Occupation and Apartheid, the largest Jewish anti-apartheid movement in Europe. She sits on the Advisory Committee for the Center for Jewish Non-Violence and was a founding staff member of Diaspora Alliance, an new international organisation which works to challenge antisemitism and its distortion. I have also worked in more traditional campaigning and policy routes, both on the issue of Israel/Palestine and children’s rights in the charity sector in the UK and Israel/Palestine.
Em is an adept communicator and writer. My work has appeared in British Vogue, +972 Magazine, Haaretz, Jewish Currents, Tribune, The New Statesman, Novara Media, The Independent, and Huck Magazine. She has appeared on BBC News, BBC Radio 4 and 5, Sky News, LBC and other local and national media outlets and podcasts. I regularly appear on panels or speak publicly about my organising and values.
